Dear Alumni, Parents, and Friends:

We invite you to share in the excitement at Fayetteville State University as we continue to build and expand this great institution. Some amazing things are happening at FSU, and these are just a few examples of the stellar achievements which have occurred:

  • FSU nursing graduates had a 100 percent pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for the May 2010 graduating class. Only six of the more than 70 nursing programs in the state had a perfect pass rate.       
  • Groundbreakings were conducted for a new residence hall and for a new science and technology building.
  • The School of Business and Economics at FSU has been ranked among the Top 130 Business Schools in the United States by the prestigious Social Science Research Network (SSRN). FSU is the only HBCU to be ranked by SSRN.        
  • A Center for Defense and Homeland Security, and the only one of its kind among HBCU’s, has been established at FSU to improve research opportunities and capabilities for current faculty and to attract new faculty with interests in the Department of Defense, homeland security, and state government grants and contracts.
  • The University of North Carolina General Administration's “Teacher Quality Impact Study” listed Fayetteville State University's School of Education as producing highly effective teachers of science and English.
