Giving Opportunities

As a public assisted institution, FSU receives only 48% of its total annual revenue budget from state appropriations. To meet the difference between funding revenue and our funding needs, we partner with others who know the value of a high-quality higher education --partners like you.

Make the most of your gift!

If you or your spouse works for a matching gift company that will match employees' charitable giving, this could double and sometimes triple the total contribution received by FSU.  The company match will go to the area you specify.  Please contact the Office of Development at 910-672-1729 to see if your employer is a matching gift company.

Federal Employees:

The Fayetteville State University Foundation will participate in the Combined Federal Campaign for the first time this year.  The FSU Foundation makes every effort to support much needed scholarship support at FSU, and the Combined Federal Campaign will provide an additional venue to raise such funds.

The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost–efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

CFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by Federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season (September 1st to December 15th) support eligible non–profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

How can you help Fayetteville State University benefit from this campaign?  Spread the news!  If you know of someone who is a Federal employee, encourage them to support FSU by designating their gift to the Fayetteville State University Foundation.  Our CFC designation code is 15584

State Employees:

Recognized as a national leader among state employee workplace giving campaigns, the State Employees Combined Campaign has raised over $63 million dollars for hundreds of charities in its 22-year history. The SECC is indebted to the state employees and retirees who have consistently demonstrated their compassion and generosity in supporting causes and organizations that improve the quality of life for North Carolina citizens. Our SECC designation code is 2589.

In 2006, Fayetteville State University employees donated $36,597 to SECC.  This exceeded our goal of $35,000.  We look forward to another year of record participation.
