Annual Fund

Annual Fund/The Fund for FSU
In order to position Fayetteville State University as a premier comprehensive, state-assisted university, and one of the leading universities in the United States, we rely on support from our alumni, friends, corporate partners, and the greater community.
FSU receives only 48% of its total annual operating budget from state appropriations. In order to provide a high-quality education to our students we must fill the gap with investments from private donors. As a donor to FSU, you make a significant impact on the future of our institution and the thousands of students we serve day-to-day.
Your Annual Fund gift to FSU supports:
- Scholarship – over 70% of our students receive some sort of financial assistance. In order to alleviate the financial burden placed on our students, scholarship support has been identified as our area of greatest need.
- Faculty & Staff Development – Recruitment and retention of qualified faculty and staff is a top priority at FSU. In order to maintain a standard of excellence and keep to pace with growth in all areas of expertise, professional development is a necessity. Your gift can subsidize many of these expenses.
- Technology & Laboratory Equipment Upgrades – our students must have the intellectual capacity to function effectively in a fast paced, competitive market. Gifts to the Annual Fund provide the funds needed to help make this happen.
- Classroom & Facility Renovations – there are thousands of higher learning institutions that a student decides upon when seeking to obtain a college degree. Our classrooms and facilities have an immediate impact in our enrollment, retention, and recruitment efforts. It also has a major role in the level of satisfaction among our students, faculty, and staff.
-
Operating Budget – gifts to the Annual Fund help keep the lights on, the lawn manicured, and our students warm in the winter. Your gift to the Annual Fund provides assistance to fill the gap where state support can’t cover.
