J.W. Seabrook Scholarship

Dr. J. Ward Seabrook was elected President in 1933. Under his leadership the institution becomes a four-year college, was renamed Fayetteville State Teachers College in 1939, and earned both state and regional accreditation. Dr. Seabrook retired in 1956 and was elected President Emeritus.

The Class of 1948 established the J.W. Seabrook  Scholarship to be awarded to a Junior or Senior Education major with an excellent academic record.
