Online EducationThe International Consortium for Online Education (ICOE) is a program offered exclusively to Fayetteville State University's (FSU) international partner institutions. ICOE offers online courses for students to study part-time at FSU.Whether you are interested in online courses to experience American teaching methodologies and classroom interactions or resulting in progression to a degree, you will find flexible, challenging options to help you meet your goals. Fayetteville State University offers about 35 courses available every Fall and Spring semesters. 


Course Design

Courses are taught online allowing you to watch weekly lecture videos or access course materials at your convenience. All classes have scheduled homework, assignments and quizzes each week. Benefits of Participation in ICOE

Through participation in FSU online courses, ICOE students

  • Gain first-hand experience of the requirements and teaching methods of U.S. professors
  • Learn use of educational technology tools such as Canvas and other software that permeate U.S higher education
  • Benefit from the reduced tuition rates provided exclusively to students at FSU partner institutions
  • And, most importantly, become friends with American students through frequent online interaction
  • Students who successfully complete at least two online courses will be considered to have met the language proficiency requirement if they apply for admission as residential degree-seeking students. The TOEFL or IELTS requirement for these students will be waived for admission to Fayetteville State University.
