Network Security

Network Services is responsible for securing the University's wired and wireless infrastructure; including remote access via VPN and external access through the University firewall. In addition, Network services is responsible for protecting the privacy of the University's data by maintaining compliance with state and federal laws such as PCI, HIPAA, and FERPA.

Network Services provides secure remote access to University staff, faculty, and sponsored vendors upon request and approval. For University staff and faculty requesting remote access, please complete the VPN Request form, and a response will be sent via e-mail within 24 hours of request. All vendors requiring remote access must be sponsored by a University staff or faculty member, and the Special Firewall Access Request form must be completed and approved before access is granted.
