Telephone and Voice Mail Instructions

MAKING A CALL
  1. Lift handset or Press the Line key or press Hands free key
  2. Internal External Dial 4 digit extension Local: Dial “9” + telephone number
  3. Long Distance: Dial “8” + area code + Number
ON - SET HOLD
  1. Place a call on hold To return to the call
  2. Press the Hold Key, indicator flashes
  3. Press the Line key with flashing indicator
LAST NUMBER REDIAL
  1. Lift handset
  2. Press a line key
    OR
  3. Leaving handset down
  4. Press line key twice
RING AGAIN

When you encounter a busy condition, press Ring Again to be notified when the line is available.

  1. When notified - Lift handset
  2. Press ring call
HANDS FREE
  1. While on a call - press Hands Free
  2. LED lights up
  3. Lay down receiver and begin speaking
MUTE MICROPHONE
  1. Press Mute
  2. LED lights up
  3. Carry on private conversation
  4. Press Goodbye to end call
LOGGING IN FROM YOUR PHONE
  1. Lift handset, Press Message key OR Dial 4599 
  2. “Call Pilot, Mailbox?” Press # 
  3. “Password?” Enter your password? Press #

NOTE: Your default password is “672+ extension number” and must be entered the first time you open your mailbox

LOGGING IN FROM ANOTHER PHONE
  1. Lift handset, Press Message key or Dial 4599 
  2. “Call Pilot Mailbox?” Enter your extension number, press # 
  3. “Password?” Enter your password, press #
LOGGING IN WHILE AWAY FROM THE OFFICE
  1. Dial (910) 672-4599
  2. 2. “Call Pilot, Mailbox? Enter your extension number, press #
  3. “Password?” Enter your password, press #
CHANGE PASSWORD
  1. Log in
  2. Press 84
  3. Enter your current password, press #
    Note: default password is “672 + extension “
  4. Enter a new 4 to 16 digit password, press #
  5. Enter the new password again, press #

Note: New password must be random

RECORD YOUR NAME (personal verification)
  1. Log in
  2. Press 89
  3. Press 5 to record
  4. Say your first and last name at the tone
  5. Press # to end recording
  6. To review press 2
  7. To accept and exit press 4
  8. To re-record press 5
CHANGE YOUR “DIAL ZERO” PERSON
  1. Log in Press
  2. 801
  3. Enter the new operator’s four -digit number and press #
  4. Hang up
RECORD GREETING
  1. Log in
  2. Press 82
  3. Press 1 for external greeting (Optional: 2 for internal callers or 3 for special greeting)
    Note: Greeting # 3 can be programmed with and expiration date
  4. Press 5 to record
  5. Press # to end recording
  6. To review greeting press 2
  7. To accept and exit press 4
  8. To delete and re-record, press 76 then 5 to record
LEAVING MESSAGE FOR OTHERS
  1. Dial Express Messaging 4598
  2. Enter mailbox number to leave message for and press #
  3. Leave your message and simply hang-up

OR

  1. Log in to your mailbox
  2. Press 75
  3. Enter list of mailbox numbers separate by the # key
  4. To end the list press the # key
  5. Press 5 to begin recording of your message and press # to end
  6. To send press, 79, to re-record press 76-5, to review press 2
TRANSFER CALL TO VOICEMAIL
  1. Press Transfer
  2. Dial 4598
  3. When Call Pilot answers, Dial mailbox number and press #
  4. Press Connect
  5. Hang up
CALL FORWARD To activate To Check/Cancel
  1. Press Forward
  2. Press check Fw
  3. Dial 4 digit extension to forward calls to
  4. Press OK, to leave forward on
  5. Press Done
  6. Press Cancel Fw cancel forwarding
CALL TRANSFER
  1. Press Transfer ( places call on hold)
  2. Dial third party number
  3. Press Swap to switch between the original caller and the new caller
  4. Press Connect to complete the transfer
