Unified Computing System (UCS) install and migration of existing servers to new architecture |
UCS is a data center architecture that combines computing, networking and storage resources into a single entity to enable centralized management and increase efficiency. Fayetteville State University is in the process of installing and configuring two UCS setups, one in each Data Centers, Science & Tech and Butler for an active/active UCS configuration, respectively. Upon completion of testing, Production VMWare servers will be moved to the UCS environment creating an Independent Production Private Cloud (IPPC) environment and Test environment. |
