The Department of World Languages and Cultures strives to contribute to the liberal arts education of all students. Through the written and oral components of its courses, the Department seeks to improve the global readiness of students in southeastern North Carolina and beyond, preparing them to communicate effectively in other languages and across cultures in the region and around the globe.
