Our Students
Our students have the opportunity to carry out original research under the guidance of the faculty. On April 27, 2011, students in the department hosted the "First Spanish Undergraduate Colloquium" where students presented their research in Spanish literature and linguistics.

Our Department

The Department of World Languages and Cultures (WLC) is home to FSU's traditional and critical foreign languages. The department houses such traditional foreign languages as Spanish and French, and critical languages such as Arabic, Chinese, Kiswahili, and Yoruba. >> Read More

Our course offerings prepare students for the 21st century job market by training them to become critical thinkers and global citizens through the learning of languages and cultures from around the world.

Language Lab

Our state of the art language lab has all the software and resources for language learning that you need to become more proficient in all the foreign languages we offer.
