BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Milena M. Hurtado, Assistant Professor of Hispanic Languages and Literatures. She is a native of Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico. She moved to the United States at the age of 12. She received her Ph.D. in Hispanic Languages and Literatures from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has taught Spanish language and literature for more than 10 years. This is her fourth year at FSU. 

TEACHING COURSES

RESEARCH
Her research focuses on Latin American literature and Colonial cultural studies from the post-colonial and feminist perspectives.

PUBLICATIONS
She has published a book on original documents of the Mexican Inquisition, as well as articles on Golden Age theater.
