Dr. Tmothy Buckner

Assistant Professor of Spanish / Language Lab Director


Dr. Tim Buckner received his Ph.D. in Spanish from Texas Tech University. He obtained his M.A. in Romance Languages from Texas Tech, his B.A. in Spanish from Southern Utah University, and his A.A. from Dixie State College.


Dr. Buckner has experience teaching technology enhanced courses and is the Language Lab Director.

Areas of Research Interest:

Dr. Buckner is interested in study abroad, 20th and 21st Century literature, and the use of technology in the foreign language classroom to enhance the language learning experience.


Dr. Buckner is currently the faculty adviser for the Hispanic Honors Society - Sigma Delta Pi.  He is also the Fayetteville State University representative for the UNC system Language Exchange Consortium.  In 2014, he received the Department of World Languages and Cultures award for Service, as well as being the recipient of the Education Service Award from CCS World Language Department for his active involvement with the Cumberland County Public schools.
