Department of World Languages and Cultures presents
"Nine Queens"
(Argentina, 2000)
Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011 at 6pm in Butler 386.
From Argentine writer-director Fabián Bielinsky, this is a film about 24 hours in the lives of two skilled con-artists - the young and affable Juan and the older, more ruthless Marcos. In the course of that day, they stumble upon a once-in-a-lifetime deal when a retired forger enlists them to sell a fake set of extremely valuable rare stamps, known as The Nine Queens. Glorious chaos ensues.
