Academic Support Centers

  • CPSER (Center for Promoting STEM Education and Research)- Provides tutorial services for students enrolled in 100 & 200 level biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics and physics courses
  • ISAS (Integrated STEM Academic Success)-Provides tutorial support in 100 & 200 level science, math, and computer science courses.  Also provides academic counseling and research opportunities.
  • Optimum Program- Provides academic support for all STEM Majors.
  • School of Education Academic Advisement & Retention Center (SOEAARC)- Provides PRAXIS support for Education students.
  • Student Support Services-Provides tutoring, academic advising, and cultural activities for eligible students.

 University College Learning Center:

  • Evening Academic Support-Provides tutorial support and academic advising to student-athletes as well as any FSU student
  • Math Support Center- Provides one-on-one and group tutoring in 100 & 200 level math courses.
  • Reading- Provides individualized classroom instruction and computer-assisted instructional activities designed to enhance reading and study skills for UNIV 101 and 102.
  • Supplemental InstructionTargets historically difficult courses by offering regularly scheduled, out-of-class review sessions to all students enrolled in a targeted course. 
  • Writing Center- An essential component in the team effort to build writing skills for any course through individual writing conferences, writing-related resources, working with instructors, and helping students help themselves.
