Biography:
Dr. Gurley is an Assistant Professor in Management in the School of Business & Economics at FSU. Kathy came to FSU after a successful corporate career in Human Resources. Her most recent position was Vice President, Organization Effectiveness at American Express. In this position as well as in a similar position at AT&T, she worked with senior leaders to design the organization capabilities required to execute new business strategies and to develop change management strategies to ensure successful implementation of these strategies. She has considerable experience working with executive teams and helping senior leaders improve their collaboration and teamwork skills. Kathy has also consulted to several other Fortune 100 companies such as Procter & Gamble, General Dynamics, Goodyear, Rohm & Haas on organization redesign projects. She holds both an MBA and Ph.D. in Organization Behavior from Case Western Reserve University. She has published several articles in journals and conference proceedings.
