Admission for Professional Development

Applicants who have not taken the GMAT* before full admission into the program will be permitted to enroll in 12 credit hours (maximum 6 credit hours at 600 level). Provided the student meets the admission requirements at a later time, the courses completed with a minimum grade of "B" will be used to fulfill the student's degree requirements. Individuals who plan to take courses for personal enrichment or to fulfill the M.B.A. requirements may be admitted under the "Professional Development" status. However, this does not constitute admission to the M.B.A. program.

Prospective MBA students may be considered for admission as either Degree Seeking or Professional Development. For Degree Seeking status, an applicant must at least meet the following requirement:

(200 X undergraduate GPA) + GMAT= 950 and GMAT= 400 or

[200 X (upper division undergraduate GPA)] + GMAT= 1050 and GMAT= 400

Applicants who do not meet the above requirement but have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or a minimum of 450 GMAT* score are admitted under the Professional Development status, which allows them to enroll in up to 12 credit hours of courses work (maximum 6 credit hours at 600 level). These credit hours may be applied toward the student's curriculum once he/she meets the aforementioned admission formula.

*The GRE predicted score for GMAT may be used in the above admission formula. Refer to

Three-Two Program

FSU Undergraduate students majoring in Accounting, Business Administration, and Economics and Finance in the School of Business and Economics may apply for admission to the MBA program during their junior year. Qualified applicants may enroll in up to six credit hours of graduate level courses during each semester of their senior year, and then complete the remaining MBA courses in only one additional year beyond the undergraduate degree. Requirements for admission into the Three-Two Program are based on current MBA policy with the exception of completion of a baccalaureate degree. Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

GPA for the last 60 hours = 3.0 or better (200 x GPA) + (GMAT* Score) = 1000 or better

*The GRE predicted score for GMAT may be used in the above admission formula.Refer to

Transfer of Credits

A maximum of six semester hours of graduate credit with a grade of "B" or better may be transferred from another accredited institution and applied to the minimum 36 hours. Coursework transferred must not be older than six (6) years at the time the degree is awarded.
