B.S. in Banking & Finance
The educational objectives of the B.S. degree program in Banking and Finance are (1) to prepare students for careers in private and public employment in the fields of banking, investments, financial management, securities markets, and international financial markets, and (2) to prepare students for graduate study in business and finance.
To achieve these goals the student who graduates with a major in Banking and Finance should be able to:

Apply appropriate problem-solving methodologies to the analysis and solution of financial problems.

Explain the role of financial management in the business firm and in the public sector.

Explain the functioning of financial markets and the roles of financial institutions.

Communicate effectively using oral, written, and multimedia techniques.
