Mission The primary goal of the Department of Middle Grades, Secondary, and Special Education is to offer quality programs leading to the Bachelor of Science degree, the Master of Education degree, and post-baccalaureate licensure in Middle Grades and Special Education. The B.S. degree program in Middle Grades Education is designed to prepare facilitators of learning to work with students in grades 6-9. In order to accomplish the objectives of this degree program, the curricular offering include the following: 45 hours of the University College Core Curriculum, 23 hours in professional education, 18 hours in each of two second academic concentrations and three hours of free electives. |
