Cathy Butler-Kosterman, Associate Professor, Department of Middle Grades, Secondary and Special Subjects; B.A. Art/English (Methodist College, 1971); M.Ed. Special Education/Psychology (Duke University, 1973); Ed.D. Special Education/Reading (Duke University, 1979). Formerly a Teacher in the Fayetteville City School System, Dr. Kosterman began teaching at Fayetteville State University in 1976. She serves on the undergraduate and graduate faculties in Special Education. Her areas of emphasis include exceptional child development, behavior management, and teaching strategies and methods for exceptional populations. She is a former Fayetteville State University Teacher of the Year.
