Dr. LaDelle Olion
is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and currently he is a Full Professor of Special Education at Fayetteville State University. He has worked at Fayetteville State University since 1982. During his tenure at Fayetteville State University he served as the Dean of Graduate Studies and Research for twenty years. Other positions at Fayetteville State University include Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Dean, College of Education and Professor of Special Education.  Prior to coming to Fayetteville State University he taught at the University of Virginia, where he also served as a Research Associate in the field of learning disabilities. Other positions include Chairman, Department of Special Education at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, professor University of Arkansas, visiting scholar, Furman University and teaching positions at Virginia State University, Central State University and The Ohio State University. Dr. Olion has served on the GRE, Council of Graduate Schools and the Council of Exceptional Children's boards. Currently, he serves as a Senior Advisor to the Monarch project at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and on the advisory board of the Laser project at the University of South Florida. Dr. Olion has made numerous presentations and conducted over 100 workshops in the field of special education and research. He has several journal article credits, and is currently working on an article on grant writing. His research interest includes assessment, parenting, learning disabilities and mental disabilities.
