Dr. Charletta Barringer-BrownCharletta Barringer-Brown,  Department Chair and Associate Professor, Department of Middle Grades, Secondary and Special Education; BA Psychology (Virginia Commonwealth University, 1995); M.Ed. Special Education, Learning Disabilities/ Emotional Disturbance (Virginia State University, 1998); Ed.D. Administration and Supervision of Special Education /Doctoral cognate in Instructional Technology (Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, 2002); Post-Doctoral Study in Developmental Psychology (UNC Chapel Hill, 2005-).  Dr. Barringer-Brown began teaching at Fayetteville State University in fall of 2004.  In addition, she serves as the Coordinator of Middle Grades and Secondary education.  Her areas of emphasis include special education administration, instructional technology teaching methods, behavioral and emotional disorders, students at-risk for academic failure, and race in teacher education.
