Ernest Alexander McNeill, Professor, Middle Grades, Secondary and Special Subjects; BA Political Science (Morehouse College, 1965); M.Ed. Special Education, Children and Youth with Emotional Disturbances (Boston University, 1972); Ed.D. Special Education (University of Massachusetts-Amherst 1976); Post-Doctoral Study Educational Leadership and Special Education (UNC Chapel Hill, 1992-94).  Dr. McNeill began teaching at Fayetteville State University in 1979.  He serves as a professor and as coordinator of special education programs.  His areas of emphasis include special education administration, assessment, behavioral and emotional disorders, alternative education and research synthesis.
