FSU Alumnus Michael Tucker Named Cumberland County Principal Of The Year

Fayetteville State University (FSU) alumnus Michael Tucker has been named 2019 Cumberland County Principal of the Year. This marks the eighth consecutive year that a FSU graduate has been selected for the honor. Tucker was one of seven finalists for the award. Among those finalists was his wife, Christina, also an FSU alumna. Past winners include:

  • Shirley Gamble, CCS Principal of the Year 2011-12
  • Dr. Crystal Brown, CCS Principal of the Year 2012-13
  • Mellotta Hill, CCS Principal of the Year 2013-14
  • Kim Robertson, CCS Principal of the Year 2014-15
  • Melody Chalmers, CCS and North Carolina Principal of the Year 2016
  • Vernon Lowery, CCS Principal of the Year 2017
  • Lavette McMillan, CCS Principal of the Year 2018
  • Michael Tucker, CCS Principal of the Year 2019
