PAID ENVIRONMENTAL INTERNSHIP. SCA's Conservation Career Development
Program needs minority college students for nationwide summer and fall
semester internships with the Department of the Interior.

Terms: summer 5/29-8/7; fall 8/28-12/11. Interns attend orientation before traveling to sites. Airfare is covered; assistance to locating housing provided. Weekly salary: sophomore/junior $370; senior $410; graduate/law student $490.

Environmental Education, Environmental Law, Fisheries, Geology, GIS, Human
Resources, Management Information Systems, Natural Resource Management,
Outdoor Recreation, Political Science, Project Management, Public Policy &
Administration, Public Relations & Outreach, Range Management, Surveying,
Website Design, and Wildlife Biology/Zoology.

Qualifications: cumulative 3.0 GPA; currently enrolled Sophomore or above;
permanent legal resident or U.S. citizen. Submit: internship application;
official transcript; registrar's letter stating class status (junior,
senior, etc.); letter of recommendation from current instructor/advisor;
resume; one page essay describing reasons for participating and
contributions offered in terms of skills and experience; approval from
advisor/dean to earn academic credit in fall term.

National Parks Service (NPS) Seasonal Recruiting: The College Program has
been asked to recruit diverse applicants for summer seasonal NPS positions
in the Pacific and Pacific Northwest Regions, as well as in the National
Capital Region. (DIP Application) Applicants must be college students, and
are referred to NPS units for hiring consideration. Experience, academic
background and skills required vary by position. Selected students are paid
seasonal NPS employees.
