Graduate Committee - Graduate Program Coordinator (Kuti), Fleming, Juma, Chao, Salek, Wu, Allen
Committee CHARGE:
Serves in an advisory role to the Coordinator in reviewing and revising the current Graduate Program in the Department
Participates in developing and planning, reviewing graduate programs in the Department
Represents the Department in the College Graduate Committee and the University Graduate Council as requested by the Graduate Coordinator
Serves as appointed advisors to Graduate Students or as a member in graduate student thesis advisory committees
Participates in active recruitment and retention of Graduate Students
Participates in admission process for students into the graduate programs
Develops Department guidelines and policies for appointing Graduate Faculty who will teach appropriate graduate courses, direct graduate student research projects, and advise graduate students as long as he/she maintains active scholarly endeavor.
Assist the Coordinator in identifying sources of fund for Graduate Student Assistantships and Fellowships.
Provide
Department Chair annual report and/or recommendation of the committee work.
