Message from the DirectorWelcome to Fayetteville State University’s North Carolina Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (NCLSAMP) program. As director of NCLSAMP, our mission is to increase recruitment and the enrollment of students that are interested in the sciences, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). We are looking to increase our retention, graduation and career development of minority students in the STEM field. We provide a nurturing and structured environment for students. LSAMP supports sustained and comprehensive approaches that facilitate achievement of the long-term goal of increasing the number of students who earn doctorates in STEM areas. |
Our mission will be fulfilled through NCLSAMP activities. The North Carolina Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation has designed activities that will prepare underrepresented minority students. Moreover, the NCLSAMP will play a vital role in your academic achievement through research mentorship and enhanced advisement. We are looking forward to a semester of excitement, growth, and success for our NCLSAMP participants. Daniel Okunbor, Ph.D. |
