Pre-nursing component: Applicants must meet the general admissions requirements of Fayetteville State University

Admission Criteria to Upper Division

Submission of completed application to Nursing Department
Application deadlines are September 30^th for January/Spring admission and March 30^th for August/Fall admission.
Successful completion of all required prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better.
Overall GPA of 2.75 and a Math/Science GPA of 2.8 or higher.
A passing score on the TEAS/Kaplan/HESI (To be determined).
Required health screens and immunizations.
Clear criminal background check and drug screens.
Submission of one page essay on the nursing profession.
Interview with the Admission, Progression and Retention Committee.

RN to BSN Applicants must meet the general admissions requirements of Fayetteville State University

Admission to RN to BSN Upper Division Nursing Program is based on the following:

Admission to Fayetteville State University.
Application deadlines are July 1 for August/Fall admission and November 15 for January admission.
Applications are accepted July 1 for August admission and December 1 for January admission.
Active and unencumbered RN license.
Evidence of an earned Associates Degree in Nursing or a Hospital Diploma in Nursing from an accredited program.

Steps for Admission

STEP ONE: Application to Fayetteville State University

Complete an FSU Admission application and submit to the FSU Admission's office online or directly to the main office.

You will be required to submit an official copy of all transfer institution transcripts to the office of admission. Please note: To avoid the delay of your admission decision, please notify the office of admissions on your application if your name was different at your previous institutions.
An admission decision will only be made after receipt of all transcripts.
