Information for Fall 2011 Admitted Students

Please return the required Nursing Intent to Enroll Survey that was included in your Nursing admission acceptance letter. This form is required for you to receive your Registration Alternative Pin number. If you choose to fax in the form, please fax to 910-672-1077.  If you have not received your Nursing Admission acceptance letter, please email Mary Dickey or Jacinta Williams.

Registration for summer and fall semesters is now in progress, please see the academic calendar for Summer 2011 and for Fall 2011 for specific semester dates. Please view the instructions on how to register online below. 
You will be required to enter your Alternative PIN number to register. You will receive your Nursing Information Packet and Registration Alternative PIN by mail. If you have not received your Nursing Information Packet by May 10, please email Mary Dickey or Jacinta Williams.

Nursing Orientation for Spring RN-BSN Students:

Date: Tuesday, August 16, 2011  TIME:  9:00 AM to 1:00 PM  OR   1:00 PM - 4:00PM
Location: New Nursing Building, Nursing Lab Room 333

Please make plans to attend this important orientation session. You will be able to meet your classmates, faculty and staff. Information regarding deadline and progression policies will be covered. Classes will start immediately after orientation.

Fall 2011 Semester – Registration
Please complete the following:
  • Declare your major.
    Once your declaration request is approved by the Department Chair, you will also be assigned to an advisor. The form will ask for your FSU email, however you can enter a non-FSU email address.
  • Instructions on how to register online
    You will be required to enter your Alternative PIN number to register: If you have questions regarding registration, please email Mary Dickey or Jacinta Williams and include your BANNER ID number.
Blackboard Account Information: Access your Nursing Courses Online.

Blackboard provides an area to place information about the course, assignments and exams in multiple locations. Users can access threaded discussions, which grants the ability to share concepts, ideas, questions and answers. In the Digital Drop Box, students can submit assignments, and keep track of their grades. 

All FSU students are required to complete an Online Orientation Course in Blackboard before starting any online courses at FSU.
