In 2008, Dr. Montgomery obtained her graduate degree from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. After a year of advanced practice in women's health she decided to continue her education by obtaining a Post-Master's Cerfificate as a nurse midwife. She has been a nurse since 2005, and a practicing APRN and CNM since 2009. Dr. Montgomery has delivered more than 300 babies and has a research focus of introducing alternative pain management for women in labor. She has taught across the curriculum but feels at home when teaching Women's Health. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and children.
