Biography: Graduated from Trenton State College with a BSN in 1973. Joined the Army Nurse Corps and had many interesting positions, including staff nurse in pediatrics, medical/surgical, maternal child, ambulatory, supervision, and quality/process improvement before retiring in 1998. Along the way I got a master's degree in Nursing Administration and one from the School of Education, both from Boston University. My husband and I have three children: two sons in high school and one daughter in college. I recently completed seven courses toward a doctoral degree in Adult Education from North Carolina State University.
Speaker/Expertise: Generational differences in education and leadership, communication, cultural diversity in nursing, use of posters in nursing (and others through the SRAHEC and NCNA convention)
Membership: Cape Fear Valley Board of Trustees
Research: I have been a participant, but did not do any on my own except my master's degree thesis of "Mentoring in Chief and Assistant Chief Nurses." in 1984.
