Biography Ms. Froede's clinical specialty is trauma and emergency nursing, to include instructing military and civilian courses in critical care, prehospital trauma, and critical care transport. Her undergraduate degree is from Canada's top institution, Queen's University; she holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University New Orleans, for which her focus was outcomes from combat polytrauma, specific to traumatic brain injury and co-morbidities of post-traumatic stress. She is a Doctor of Nursing Practice candidate with Loyola University New Orleans, where she is studying the practice-based evidence of Special Operations Forces medics and that influence on combat care delivery and curricular advancement. Ms. Froede has authored peer-reviewed publications specific to military healthcare, research consortia, and was instrumental in partnering to highlight DoD policies regarding polytraumatic injuries for which the Purple Heart is awarded. She has held clinical and specialty positions at several US Army posts, including many overseas, for which she received awards for both civilian and public service. Ms. Froede is a Jonas Foundation for Nursing Excellence Veterans Healthcare Program Scholar and a primary and co-investigator on funded initiatives for military, military families, and veteran's health outcomes. |
