WELCOME TO THE PARENT INSTITUTE!

Mission

The purpose of the Parent and Family Institute is to provide parents with the strategies, skills, support and resources necessary to help their child excel in primary, secondary, and post-secondary education, and to increase parent involvement in the education of Cumberland, Hoke, and Robeson County students.

The Parent Institute encourages family involvment in children's academic success through community resources and support.

Vision

The Vision of the Parent and Family Institute is to engage families from diverse backrounds through three key practices by:

  1. Focusing on building trust and collaborative relationships
  2. Recognizing, respecting and addressing families' needs, as well as class and cultural differences
  3. Embracing a philosophy of partnership where power and responsibility are shared.
