The FSU OPTIMUM program is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to provide challenging academic curricula and enrichment opportunities that would encourage and enable minority students to complete baccalaureate degrees in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Math and to enter the STEM workforce. >> Read More

PROGRAM BENEFITS:

  • $1000 Scholarship per academic semester
  • Enhanced student advisement and mentorship
  • Paid preparation for Graduate Record Examination (GRE)
  •  Assistance with obtaining Summer Research Internships
  • Eligible to matriculate to Honors, RISE, LSAMP, and McNair programs after Completion of at least one year in OpTIMUM
  • Provided with private tutoring in Math and Science Course

 

 

The OpTIMUM Program

Application

  Academic Year Support: 

        August 2011 - May 2012 

The program will provide financial and academic support to STEM majors, at Fayetteville State University, and transfer students during the summer session. (STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
