Students who fail to check in/move in on August 11, 2012, will be considered “No Shows” and their room assignment will be forfeited and given to a person on the waiting list.

The Department of Residence Life will mail an official Housing Information Packet to all residential students. The packet will include your Move-In Pass.

CAMPUS MOVE-IN INFORMATION 2012
Welcome to Bronco Land! The transition from home to campus life is the first of many you will take on the road to becoming a Bronco. We are excited about welcoming you to campus and want to help make this adjustment as comfortable as possible. To ensure a smooth move-in process and to eliminate congestion in the Freshmen Residence Hall living areas, the University has instituted Operation Smooth Move. Operation Smooth Move is a cooperative campus wide effort by which students, administrators, faculty and staff volunteers stand ready to assist you with direction and guidance as you transition onto campus.
The move-in time sequence has been implemented in the effort of reducing the amount of traffic congestion, and time students experience when the check in process begins. You will receive move-in passes to use on Saturday, August 11, 2012. This pass is your admittance into the Residence Hall Unloading Zone and serves as a temporary parking permit during the move-in process. The location and name of your building on the pass indicates what time and what entrance you must utilize in order to gain admittance into the University.
We ask that you carefully read the following instructions prior to your arrival. A clear understanding of the move-in procedures will help ease your adjustment to a new home. Please have patience and follow the plans outlined below.

SMOOTH MOVE PROCEDURES
- You must present the Move-In Pass to enter your specific Residence Hall Unloading Zone.
- You should report to the designated location at the appointed time as indicated.
- A maximum of two (2) vehicles per student will be allowed to enter the unloading zone (both vehicles must arrive at the same time).
- Each vehicle must have a designated driver (OTHER THAN THE STUDENT). THE DESIGNATED DRIVER MUST STAY WITH EACH VEHICLE AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN THE UNLOADING ZONE.
- Thirty (30) minutes will be allotted for each person to unload their vehicle(s) inside of the unloading zone. Vehicles will be towed, at the owner’s expense, for failing to relocate outside of the Loading Zone area when the time allotment expires.
- Upon unloading your car, the designated driver must immediately move the vehicle(s) to a satellite parking lot.
- It is the students’ responsibility to unload and move their personal belongings. You are advised to bring sufficient assistance/help to aid you with the Move-In process.
NOTE
- When making decisions about the belongings you choose to bring, be mindful of the limited dimensions of your room. Bring only the necessities that you will need for one semester.
- The time phased Move-In Schedule will be strictly enforced..
- If you need to arrive later than your scheduled check-in appointment you must contact the Residence Hall Office in the building you are assigned to. The phone number(s) to your residence hall is listed on your MOVE-IN PASS.
