The 13th annual Miss Fayetteville State University Scholarship Pageant was held on Saturday, April 17 in Capel Arena. Each of these six beautiful contestants competed in six categories: interview, fitness and athletic wear, on-stage knowledge and awareness, talent, evening gown and the student vote. Classification: Sophomore

Major: Political Science & English

Hometown: Ahoskie, NC

Seeking Title: As Miss Fayetteville State University, she believes that she would serve as a positive ambassador for the student body through community service, leadership and academics.

Kaity Parson

Classificiation: Sophomore

Major: Political Science

Hometown: Charlotte, NC

Seeking Title: Because she possesses the poise, intellect, and talent that marks an FSU woman. She also desires to use the position to be an ambassador for Fayetteville State University in the community and beyond.

Danielle Price

Classification: Junior

Major: English & Literature

Hometown: Hillsborough, NC

Seeking Title: To serve as an ambassador of this prestigious university and to work closely with the FSU family and local community to promote the school's positive attributes.

Sheena Huntley

Classification: Junior

Major: Sociology

Hometown: Wadesboro, NC

Seeking Title: Because serving as Miss Fayetteville State University would be a great experience and opportunity to give back to the University and her fellow classmates.

Kimberly Wiggins

Classification: Junior

Major: Chemistry

Hometown: Fayetteville, NC

Seeking Title: Because Fayetteville State has presented her with many excellent opportunities and she would like to show her gratitude by serving as a role model possessing poise, grace, and a wealth of university knowledge.

Kewanda Lake

Classification: Junior

Major: Speech/Theater with a Communications concentration

Hometown: Columbia, SC

Seeking Title: Because she wants to represent the Bronco family and community as a virtuous woman. She feels that her character exemplifies and represents all students of Fayetteville State University.
