Adult Students

Working adults, as they navigate the present economic environment, are pursuing a college education in ever-increasing numbers. Adult students, age 24 and older, are loosely identified with a larger group long characterized as "non-traditional." If you are a part of this group at FSU you are not alone. Over 40% of our student population is age 24 and older and nearly 80% of all FSU students are commuters, which means that they do not live on campus. We at Fayetteville State University recognize that the goals and needs of adult students may differ somewhat from more traditional students.

The office of Commuter Student Services wants all FSU adult students to know that they are an important and unique part of the Bronco family. Therefore, we help to ensure that supportive services are in place to help you make the transition to and through college as smooth and as hassle-free as possible.
