Students must submit each of the following
forms or documents before they will be certified for receiving
educational benefits. If you need assistance
obtaining any information, please call the VA office at (910) 672-1628.
All Students:
- Required VA application form(s) or
Letter of Eligibility
- DD 214 form (Military Discharge)
copy 4. Must be Honorable or Regular.
- Supporting documents for
dependents, including: Marriage Certificates, Divorce Decree, and Birth Certificate(s) if applicable.
ALL COPIES MUST BE CERTIFIED. You may have your originals certified at the Cumberland County Court House or
at the Vet Center.
- Official Evaluation of Transfer Credits. This paperwork is
done through the Admissions Office upon receipt of all transcripts from previous
colleges (if applicable).
- Letter of UNCONDITIONAL acceptance into the
university (from the Admissions Office). It must state you are
admitted to a degree or
licensure program.
Undergraduate Students Only:
Fill and submit
Declaration of Major form
online.
Graduate Students Only:
Curriculum Guide (a list of courses needed in order to fulfill
the necessary requirements for a master/doctoral degree or teaching
licensure program).
VETERAN ALERT: YOU MUST INFORM THE VA OFFICE OF ANY CHANGES
PERTAINING TO YOUR SCHEDULE, MAJOR, ADDRESS, ETC.
Once you have submitted all necessary paperwork to this office, it
will take at least 60-90 days before the VA Regional Office will give you or
this office any response as to when benefits will begin.
