Transcript Request - New Transcript Ordering Process is Coming Soon

Fayetteville State University has partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse to offer you a more efficient and expedient process of transcript ordering, delivery, and tracking. You can now send official transcripts to your recipients via email as well as the regular mail services and receive email updates on your order which you can track online. You can also attach any documents with your transcript during the ordering process. This ordering process complies with all published guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), which protects students' privacy rights in their education records.

Transcript Delivery Formats
You can now send your transcript(s) to your recipient(s) one of two ways:

- Electronic (secure PDF) - The recipient will receive two emails. One email will contain a link to the secure National Student Clearinghouse site to access the actual PDF transcript document and the other email will contain the password to gain access to the secure National Student Clearinghouse site to retrieve the official transcript. The email is received by the recipient within minutes of your submission. The transcript has the official Fayetteville State University logo, seal and Registrar signature.

- Paper - The recipient will receive the official transcript on the standard security paper with the Fayetteville State University logo, seal, and Registrar signature.

How to Order Your Transcript
The National Student Clearinghouse eTranscript Ordering System provides step-by-step instructions as you go. There will be required fields and some optional fields.  Required fields will be notated with an asterisk.  Please read each step very carefully. However, should you have any questions; there is a link that provides help titled "Transcript Ordering Help".

Payment Options
There is a $2.25 processing fee for this service per transcript session. Electronic transcript delivery is an additional $1.00. Thus you can pay at most $3.25 per transcript session.  You must have a valid credit card to include (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diners Club International, JCB).

Other Information
There is a $10.00 fee for mailed-in requests. Mailed-in requests may take 7 - 10 business days to process.

  • Please include a money order at $10.00 per transcript. We do not accept checks via mail. Checks and the request will be sent back to you.
  • Please allow seven (7) to ten (10) business days for mail-in requests.
  • If you have any type account hold that would prevent this office from printing your transcript, your money order and request will be sent back to you.

We do not accept transcript requests by fax.
We do not offer in person transcript pickup.
We do not accept phone-in requests.


If you are an Alumni of Fayetteville State University and need to look up your Banner ID so that you can request your transcript via Banner Self Service, please click here. If you attended Fayetteville State University prior to 1989, you may or may not be eligible to request your transcript online. Please contact us at 910.672.2211 to confirm before making your request. In the event that you are not eligible to order your transcript at present, the processing time for transcripts may take 5-10 business days.

  • Transcripts are no longer available for pick-up.
  • Online requests using Banner- FREE
  • Walk-in, mailed in and faxed in requests-$5.00
  • Requests made in person will be MAILED to the address indicated the next business day.
  • Students can submit only one request per day at two transcripts per request.
Do you have any type hold that would prevent you from receiving a transcript?
  • Yes - You must clear the account matter with the appropriate office. Once the hold has been cleared, make your transcript request.
  • No - Make your request online, mail-in or walk-in.

If you have any type account hold that would prevent this office from printing your transcript, your online request will not print.

During peak periods, all request types may take five (5) to ten (10) business days. Peak periods are registration, midterm grading, final grading and commencement.

The university does not accept e-mail or phone requests.

  • Complete the TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FORM and fax to (910) 672-1599.
  • Please ensure you have printed the receipt number on your request form; if not, the request will not be processed.
  • Please allow five (5) to ten (10) business days for mail-ins.
  • If you have any type account hold that would prevent you from receiving a transcript, your check or money order and request will be sent back to you.
