Policies


  • nAll proposals submitted to external funding agencies (federal, state, cities, UNC General Administration, other constituent institutions of the UNC System, other post and/or secondary institutions, private foundations, and corporations) must be processed through the Office of Sponsored Research & Programs.  
  • nOnly the Chancellor or  designee is authorized to sign proposals, contracts and/or agreements.  All contracts/agreements are to be sent to the Office of Sponsored Research for signature processing.
  • nCost sharing, cash match, or inkind contributions, must be discussed and approved prior to submission.  A letter with appropriate signatures explaining the cost share and where the funds will come from must accompany the proposal prior to processing for official signatures.
  • nThe Policy and Procedures for the Protection of Human Research Subjects at Fayetteville State University is applicable to all persons (faculty, students, administrators, and/or external persons) conducting research involving human subjects at the university.  This policy applies to externally, internally and non-funded research activities and includes activities using existing data, surveys, interviews, class projects, theses, dissertations, etc.
