||Designs and Effectuates policy regarding strategic planning for targeting potential research sponsors and policies; assist faculty in proposal preparation (pre-award) by interpreting applicable federal and state laws, external sponsor guidelines and procedures for accurate proposal development, including necessary forms and certifications; identify and disseminate general paper and electronic information about funding opportunities to faculty and staff; serve as Community of Science administrator and liaison; meet with faculty and staff to discuss program announcements and strategize proposal development; prepare reports and studies; serve as liaison with external funding sources. Manages and coordinates the Federally and University mandated compliance areas of human participation in research, conflict of interest and misconduct in science research involving human subjects; in conjunction with the Institutional Review Board: Human Right in Research Committee (HRRC). Design and implement educational initiatives for faculty, staff and students regarding human subject regulations. Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and record retention system to comply with federal regulations. Manages initiatives to market and promote new and emerging research opportunities for faculty, staff and students through the development and delivery of workshops and seminars. Collects and maintains research data to monitor trends; prepares reports and/or presentations.
