Campus TV Service

High-Definition

Fayetteville State University features full High Definition (HD) Digital Television (HDTV) in our residence halls for our students without the need for a cable box. This new service utilizes Digital QAM tuners, which are found in most televisions made after 2005.

The service will feature new programming, including ESPN channels, multiple Fox Sports channels, Oxygen, and many others requested by students in previous years, all presented in crystal clear HD.Students who have an HDTV already with a QAM tuner, you are good to go! They will experience a wide array of new channels available on campus at no additional charge, already included with their room.

What If My TV Isn't Compatible?

Most televisions sold after 2005 have an integrated Digital QAM tuner required for the new upgraded service. If your television does not have an integrated QAM tuner. These tuners may also be found at Amazon, Radio Shack, Sears or Best Buy. There will still be limited analog programming available for students who are not able to upgrade.

How Do I Recieve All The Channels?

If you have a digital TV, it is important to auto program your TV to ensure you are viewing all the available channels. Exact details on how to auto program or auto tune digital TVs vary by manufacturer and model. These instructions are generalizations meant to describe the way most TV accomplish this feature. For best results, refer to the owner's manual for the specific TV you are working with.
