The following requirements are preferred of individuals applying to the 2012 Shelton Challenge experience:
The cost to attend the Shelton Challenge six-day residential program is $550. This cost includes all curriculum materials, lodging, food, low and high ropes training, transportation during week, and night activities.
When sending the application, please also send $100 toward the final payment of $550 to hold your space in the program. If the applicant is not accepted to the program, the $100 will be refunded. If the applicant is accepted, and the applicant then chooses not to attend the program, a refund may be provided up to one month prior to the selected date to attend the program.
There are limited scholarships available. If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please submit the financial scholarship form along with your application and note on the application that you are applying for a scholarship. Scholarships are awarded on first come basis as available to students whose need is verified through the information provided on the financial scholarship form. Anyone applying for scholarship is required to submit $50 when sending in application that will go toward final payment. Full-scholarship recipients are required to pay an administrative fee of $50, which the initial $50 will be used toward the administrative fee.
