EVACUATION PROCEDURE To ensure everyone’s safety during a fire/evacuation, please follow these guidelines: 1.
When the alarm sounds, evacuate immediately. 2.
Do not enter a building if the fire alarm is sounding. 3.
If your workplace is on the first or second floor, assemble with
the people on your floor. This will assist the fire warden to
expeditiously account for everyone. 4.
If you suspect someone may still be in the building please inform
emergency immediately or as soon as possible. 5.
If a person is mobility impaired/wheel chair bound, push the person
to the nearest stairwell (all stairwells are fire rated for one hour).
Notify Emergency personnel of the impaired person location immediately. 6.
The designated assembly area (listed below) is a minimum of 300
feet away from the building. 7. Do not re-enter the building until directed to do so by Emergency officials (Campus Police or Fire Department personnel).
