Mrs. Mia M. Smith is the Coordinator for the School of Education Summer Accelerated Program. Mrs. Smith attended Fayetteville State University where she earned both her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech-Theater with a concentration in Speech/Psychology and Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education degree. She earned her professional teaching license in Special Education General Curriculum K-12 from Fayetteville State University. In addition, she recently received an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University. She has worked for the North Carolina Public School systems for 6 years as a 21st Century Community Learning Center Site Coordinator, Reading Accelerator, and a K-3 EC Resource teacher. She enjoys volunteering her time tutoring students in her local community.
