Geraldine Campbell-Munn, Assistant Dean, School of Education and Assistant Professor, Department of Elementary Education; BS Social Studies, Fayetteville State University, 1974; MAEd Elementary Education, Fayetteville State University, 1984; Ed.D. Educational Leadership, East Carolina University, 1996. Dr. Munn came to Fayetteville State University in 1996 and in addition to her instructional duties has served as a supervisor of teacher interns, Coordinator of Elementary Professional Development Schools, Director of the University-School Teacher Education Partnership, and the School of Education’s Office of School Services.
Dr. Munn routinely works with inservice teachers in the Fayetteville State University service area in an effort to support the systemic changes needed to promote student maturity and academic achievement. She promotes teaching as a mission and knows that the services educators provide enhance lives beyond the classroom.
Primary research focus is multicultural education for preservice teachers with a secondary interest in classroom management. She successfully linked the two topics in presentations to teachers and school administrators at the annual Closing the Achievement Gap Conference sponsored by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
