Academic Advising

The academic advising component is designed to provide appropriate academic services so that students will be able to make sound choices and decisions necessary for a successful college career. Academic Advisors assist students in understanding and accepting themselves as individuals, developing the ability to cope with and solve problems, and increasing their competence in decision making.  College life can be a challenging experience for first-time freshmen. The Student Support Services Program understands the needs of these students and stands ready to assist them with adjusting to college life.
