What type of medical service is provided here on campus; and for those with special needs, how far is the nearest hospital? The university offers non-emergent, outpatient treatment through the Student Health Services Infirmary. There is a licensed medical staff person on duty during hours of operation; the nearest hospital is approximately 2 miles away.
What safety measures are taken to provide a safe environment on campus? The campus police are on duty twenty four (24) hours, seven days a week; they patrol and spot check designated areas on a regular time schedule. There are metal detectors for university activities as an added precaution. The residence halls also have additional security patrol.
Is there a dress code for students? No. Since this period is a time to grow and prepare for a professional career, students are encouraged to use discretion and take pride in their appearance.
Is there public transportation to shopping districts? Yes. There are buses on a regular time schedule.
Are there vegetarian meals available? Yes. There are daily vegetable dishes and non- meat entrees available to meet the needs of students who are strict vegetarians.
Is alcohol permitted on campus? No alcoholic beverages of any kind are permitted on grounds. FSU is a DRY CAMPUS.
