Networth Awards Two Scholarships to Fayetteville State University Students

Fayetteville State University (FSU) students Vanessa Ward and Deja Matthews were awarded $2,000 scholarships each from Networth of Fayetteville.

Ward is a biology major from Nashville, N.C., and Matthews is a nursing major from Goldsboro, N.C.

Networth awards the scholarships to students attending FSU, Fayetteville Technical Community College and Methodist University. To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Possess high scholastic ability. Preference will be given to candidates with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Plan to enter or re-enter the workforce and have definitive goals for a professional career
  • Demonstrate community involvement

Networth is an organization of professional and executive women in the Fayetteville community. Its primary purpose is to provide peer networking and to promote continuing professional development among women in the community.
