FSU degree-seeking students are required to take at least six (6) hours per summer session in order to be eligible for financial aid during Summer School.
Special Visiting Students are defined as those who are taking courses for reasons other than earning a degree. These applicants are required to submit an application with a $40.00 (non-refundable) fee and to furnish one of the following credentials:
Special Visiting students receive their alternate pins for registration as well as year-round campus support through the Office of Summer School. Although you do not need permission to take summer classes at FSU, final authority regarding transferability of courses and those courses that are applicable towards a particular degree rests with your home institution. Please contact your academic advisor for assistance in securing a Course Approval or Request Permission for Course Transfer Form. Note: Registration for special visiting students will begin on Thursday, April 23, 2015.
If the course desired requires a prerequisite, please provide the Office of Summer School with 1) a transcript verifiying that the prerequisite was succesfully completed for the required course or 2) an approval to pursue course(s) at another instituition form, signed by an advisor, giving the authorization to take desired course.
