The Family Reading Program

The Family Reading Program is a community outreach program whose focus is to help children find enjoyment, relaxation, and socialization through reading while learning about diversity in regards to military culture, people of color, ethnicity and different traditions. The program objectives are accomplished through the use of storytelling, puppet shows, arts and crafts, and music.

The goals of the program are to encourage     parents/caregivers to read with their children, to help children learn about the military through children's books that portray children with parents who serve in the U.S. Military.

The Family Reading Program offers a weekly family activity that is fun and provides parents/caregivers with networking opportunities.
