Master of Social Work Advisory Council
In 2003, the Master of Social Work Advisory Council was organized to enhance the liaison between the Social Work Department and the human service community. The roles and responsibilities of the Council are as follows:
- Establish a continuing partnership between Fayetteville State University , Social Work Department and the human service community.
- Participate in long-range planning, program development and evaluation.
- Encourage and assist in supporting research and scholarship.
- Assist the Social Work Department in relating programs and curricula to the changing needs of the social work profession.
- Provide suggestions on matters concerning faculty professional development.
- Assist the Social Work Field Education Director in soliciting student internships.
- Engage in other activities proposed and approved by the Council.
